The location was absolutely stunning, with the river right behind the rooms and wild animals freely roaming around. It was such a unique experience to be in such a historical place, where the events of a famous film took place. The hotel was perfectly situated between Nairobi and the parks, making it a convenient stopover. The staff were all great, and Beatrice at the front desk made sure our last day in Kenya was amazing. We also enjoyed the history walk with Nico, who showed us forgotten victims graves and the museum. Definitely a must-visit if you're into history and wildlife.
The food was a bit disappointing, especially compared to the quality of the lodge itself. It felt like school dinners, and it would have been better if they invested in a proper chef.

Loved the enormous rooms with balcony. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. Saw hippos, elephants, and monkeys from the balcony. Staff, especially Rosemary, Nicodemus, and Augustin, were the best.
Oh, there was absolutely nothing to complain about. Everything was just perfect.

The guestrooms at Man Eaters Lodge are fantastic! They are so cozy and comfortable, with premium bedding that feels like sleeping on a cloud. The free WiFi is a great perk, allowing me to stay connected during my stay. Plus, the 24-hour room service is perfect for when I needed a late-night snack or a refreshing drink. I loved having the balcony in my triple room, it was a lovely place to relax and enjoy the view. The private entrance and patio added a nice touch to the room, making it feel even more private and exclusive. the room was just perfect for me as a young traveler looking for comfort and convenience.
While the bathrooms in the guestrooms were clean and well-maintained, I personally prefer a bathtub instead of just a shower. But hey, that's just my personal preference, and I'm sure many others would still appreciate the rainfall showerheads.

The camp's location on the Tsavo River provides an immersive experience in the wildlife-abundant environment. Guests can enjoy the sounds of wildlife from their spacious luxury tents, which include a balcony with lounge chairs for relaxation. The buffet-style meals offered tasty options, and the restaurant's setting was wonderful. The staff were exceptional, providing quick check-in, escorting guests to their tents for safety, and ensuring a comfortable stay. The facilities, including a pool, bar area, and recreational activities, provided plenty to do between safaris.
Some guests experienced an issue with bugs getting into their tents, which affected their ability to have a peaceful night's sleep. Additionally, the sound of frogs near the pool in the evening deterred some from swimming.
